Functional structural installation of the Class II chassis without a chassis provided by Dongfeng Motor Company (hereinafter referred to as Dongfeng Company) does not involve the replacement of any assembly.

Basic requirements for modification

In view of the sales principle of Dongfeng chassis commercialization, Dongfeng Company cannot be technically responsible for all modification units and modification plans of modified vehicles; modification units must be responsible for the modified vehicle. It is recommended to consider:

1. The rationality of modifying part of the structure and connecting it to the frame;

   2. The rationality of the axle load mass distribution and the uniformity of the left and right loads after modification;

3. Reasonableness of processing on the original chassis due to modification:

4. Items subject to safety and regulatory restrictions, etc.

5. After modification, the total vehicle mass shall not exceed the allowable maximum total mass, and the axle mass shall not exceed the allowable maximum axle load mass.

6. The load distribution should be basically uniform on the left and right sides, and the maximum deviation should not exceed 3%.

7. The center of gravity should be as low as possible, but there must be enough space for the wheel's bounce height.

8. The external dimensions of the modified vehicle must not exceed the limit, and the rear suspension of the vehicle must not exceed the standard limit.

9. Modified vehicles should ensure ease of repair and maintenance.

10. Modified vehicles must meet the current national regulations.

Note: Our company does not allow modification units to modify the vehicle to lengthen the wheelbase. As for the special circumstances of lengthening or shortening the frame longitudinal beams or changing the position of the cross beams, you should consult, contact and get help from the Dongfeng Motor Corporation Technical Center to avoid problems.
